Contemporary
This excerpt from composer Zach McGowan's piece "Point Park On A Quiet Wednesday," was recorded in a recording studio at Duquesne University in the fall of 2016. It is a fantastic example of the use of the oboe in modern music, especially ambient rock.
New Music
The above excerpt was recorded on March 19th, 2016 by the Kamraton Ensemble in Pittsburgh. The first is an oboe excerpt from Mvt. III, and the second is an English Horn excerpt from movement VI.
